Scientific and technical journal “Voprosy Materialovedeniya” is registered with the Ministry for Press, Broadcasting and Mass Communications of Russian Federation, the certificate of registration: PI №77-13228. It is published since 1995 by the State Scientific Center of Russia FSUE CRISM “Prometey”.

September, 28th, 1995, is the day of signing into print of the first issue’s cover. The first three issues were approved for the public release on May, 22, 1996. The License No LR 020644 for publishing was confirmed by Russian Press State Committee on October 13, 1997. Since 1998, the journal “Voprosy Materialovedeniya” is reviewed and included in the VINITI database.

January, 17th, 2003 Presidium of VAK (High Attestation Commission) of Russian Federation decided to include the journal into the list of scientific and technical editions having the right to print publications of competitors for academic degrees.

Since 2006, the journal is included into the databases of the Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI). Since 2011, the best journal articles selected from the previous year issues, are translated into English and published by “Pleiades Publishing, Ltd” in the form of a special volume No 6 in the united journal “Inorganic Materials: Applied Research” (ISSN PRINT: 2075-1133 , ISSN ONLINE: 2075-115H).

From 2015, the journal is included in the catalog of periodicals and database of Ulrich’s Periodicals Directory. Since July 2015 the magazine is included in the new list of leading periodicals recommended by VAK (High Attestation Commission) of Russian Federation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation to publish the scientific results of dissertations of competitors for academic degrees. (The order No 560 of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation issued on 03.06.2015). The journal is included in the RSCI Collection on the Web of Science platform.
